This Friday will witness a new training activity organized by the Archaeological Park of Campo Lameiro, dedicated this time to the explanation by specialists in rock art of the different techniques used for the registration and documentation of the petroglyphs. A course that has the support and scientific support of various university bodies Galician and Portuguese: FCT-Lab2PT (University of Minho), Institute of Heritage (INCIPIT-CSIC) Group of Prehistory and Studies Northwest (GEPN-USC) Science .
The presentation of the course will include the involvement of territorial delegate of the Xunta de Galicia in Pontevedra, Jose Manuel Cores Touris and Head of Archaeology of the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage, Roberto Pena Bridges. Then will open the series of relatorios Ramon Fabregas and Carlos Rellán with “The study of petroglyphs, more than a century of research.”
Among the 50 people we enrolled found a remarkable diversity in vocational training (historians, archaeologists, restorers, art historians); mainly from Galicia, but with the arrival of students from other regions such as Madrid and Valencia.
